Over 80% of new business fail in the first 5 years. Over 96% fail within the first 10 years.
Don’t be a statistic – businesses that focus their efforts on a marketing plan and strategy can be 50 percent more effective.
That’s cool, but how?
Marketing means a lot of things to a lot of people. Do I make a Facebook page or pay for a billboard? What is the best way to reach people? Is it really that important?
Good questions and YES, it really is important. When starting out a lot of businesses create a basic website with minimal effort, and a Facebook page and then never come back to it. Have you ever heard the term “First impressions are everything?” It’s even more true in this time of short attention spans and immediate gratification. The first thing anyone does when they’re searching for something is Google it and then land on your website. If you don’t put your best foot forward on the first impression, do you expect customers to give you a second chance? It’s so important to make an impression all the way through the sales cycle: From awareness to consideration to purchase, service and loyalty.
To make an impression you have to truly know your target audience. Do you know what problems they face, what keeps them up at night? Are you the answer to their prayers? What makes you different from everyone else? It’s important to not only understand who your customers are, but where and how to reach them and how best to spend your limited funds.
It’s a complicated process– we know. We’ve lived it for years and we’re here to help.
Our Philosophy.
There are many arguments over whether strategic marketing is an art or a science. Why not both? We’ve all experienced seeing a master at work. Whether it be an amazing painter, an exquisite chef, or jaw-dropping photographer. They all make their job look effortless. It not only took years of practice to get where they are, but a talent they were born with. We believe that not everyone can or should be great at marketing and strategy, and that’s okay. Your job is to be great at what you do, what makes you unique. Don’t be mistaken, we’re not saying that you don’t need to pay attention to marketing. Your efforts need be coordinated, aligned and specific to get the best return on your marketing dollars.
On the other side of things, you can’t just have a great strategy and then throw it over the fence for someone else to see through to execution. Strategy and execution go hand in hand. Your strategy and plan needs to be clearly defined before any content is written or ads are purchased. Would you buy windows for a house that has yet to be designed or a contractor hired?
